Rollercoaster in Portrush

Northern Ireland's premier holiday resort, Portrush, has everything you might expect from the traditional seaside town - candy floss and ice cream, big dippers and ghost trains, and all flanked by sandy beaches that stretch for miles.

Indoors

Portrush offers a host of indoor activities for the family. Not to be missed is the sensational Dunluce Centre, featuring three unique attractions. All ages will love Turbo Tours, synchronising seat movement with giant screen action.

Finn McCool's Adventure Playground is a three floor themed and zoned interactive game environment set in a play structure where visitors can play a variety of fun games either alone or in groups.

The viewing tower also offers excellent views across to the Scottish Isles and the centre's family restaurant provides the perfect way to round off your visit.

The indoor paradise of Waterworld offers thrilling giant water slides, air bubble loungers and lots of interactive water features in an exciting Pirate's Cove pool. Adults can still relax and enjoy the health suite or visit the sea water aquarium. An exciting 10-pin bowling facility is also available in the complex. At the Coastal Zone, Portrush, budding naturalists will enjoy its coastal and marine exhibitions, indoor rock pool and live sea creatures. Opportunities for rock pool rambles, painting marine ceramics and bird watching.  And of course no trip to Portrush is complete without a visit to Barry's Amusements for that special buzz with cyclones, merry-go-rounds, dodgems and Ireland's largest Big Dipper - it's great fun for all ages. Barry's latest ride is 'The Big Apple' children's dipper.

Outdoors

Portrush Beach

Royal Portrush has a challenging championship 18-hole links course for the experienced golfer while beginners can develop their skills on the less demanding 9-hole course at Ballyreagh. Horse riding can be enjoyed at several nearby equestrian centres, while the Recreation Grounds at Ramore Head offer tennis, bowling, crazy golf and an adventure play-park with bouncy castle for the children. At the Harbour, you'll find rowing boats for hire, and a day's fishing or sightseeing can be organised on a local charter boat.

Surfers can enjoy 'good waves' off both beaches throughout the year. Then, when the sun goes down the 'Port' comes alive with its friendly pubs, restaurants and lively nightspots
